In the Realm of Music there are numerous highly skilled musicians but what makes them influential? I think that there are many very gifted guitarists but when it comes to acoustic guitars there are some artist that are leading the pack. I think that the way an artist arranges his music, How it is played, and the melodies played really have an affect on why they are idols for others. The artist that have these in my opinion are very influential acoustic guitar players.
Eric Clapton
I think that Eric Clapton is a very gifted musician and his works was highly
received from the musical community. In terms of acoustic ability his songs were amazing for example, "Classical Gas" which is a instrumental song containing a strong classical theme though the entire tune. Also the song he wrote with the band Derek and the Dominoes called "Layla"

As you can see in my personal opinion Eric Clapton, James Taylor and Andy Mckee the top three revolutionary musicians that has influenced the musical scene.
