3 Influential Acoustic Guitar Players

In the Realm of Music there are numerous highly skilled musicians but what makes them influential? I think that there are many very gifted guitarists but when it comes to acoustic guitars there are some artist that are leading the pack. I think that the way an artist arranges his music, How it is played, and the melodies played really have an affect on why they are idols for others. The artist that have these in my opinion are very influential acoustic guitar players.

Eric Clapton

I think that Eric Clapton is a very gifted musician and his works was highly received from the musical community. In terms of acoustic ability his songs were amazing for example, "Classical Gas" which is a instrumental song containing a strong classical theme though the entire tune. Also the song he wrote with the band Derek and the Dominoes called "Layla"
which was a musical breakthrough with the addicting melody and the collaboration between acoustic music and an electrified full band. Furthermore Eric Clapton also has released numerous hits such as "Tears in Heaven", a beautiful tribute to his son.

James Taylor

This musical genius was one of only a few revolutionary singer/songwriters who sung sensitive and introspective songs. His skills included writing beautiful lyrics that where pleasing to the mind but he followed that up with very melodic song that made it pleasing to the ear as well. Song such as "You've Got a Friend" and "Fire and Rain" where songs that Taylor released giving listeners insight into moments that happened in his personal life helping him to connect to the audience. The theme in the song "Fire and Rain", Taylor's says was in part the sudden death of Suzanne Schnerr, and also his struggle to overcome his drug addiction. His ringing acoustic fingers and his raw and apocalyptic lyrics made James Taylor one of the most influential guitars know to man.

Andy Mckee

Andy Mckee has not only proven that he has mastered the acoustic guitar to profound ability but he is also another musician who has taken this guitar talent and added to it to produce something more. The Harp guitar is yet another instrument that Mckee can play without problem, this new introduction to rare instruments is exactly what the industry needs. Andy Mckee is very experimental in his development of extremely harsh and nearly impossible techniques which he handles with ease. His flagship song "Drifting" has taken the Internet my storm, it became very highly received throughout YouTube and Myspace and he continues to amaze audiences throughout the world with the help of the Internet.

As you can see in my personal opinion Eric Clapton, James Taylor and Andy Mckee the top three revolutionary musicians that has influenced the musical scene.
