The Violence

In the to stories "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson and "The Perils of Indifference" by Elis Wiesel there are many different ways that they perform acts of violence. In "The Lottery" the villagers all gather to be entered in a lottery. Once the person is drawn it is decided to kill that person. Even when she begged them not to kill her with rocks and stone they all started throwing rocks at her to kill her. Also in "The Perils of Indifference" there was a boat that was called St. Louis and it was filled with about 1000 Jews, was "already on the shores of the United States, was sent back" to the Germany where Hitler was in power and putting people into concentration camps and killing people. In conclusion there are many reasons that humans perform acts of violence but it doesn't necessarily mean that its right.

Dream Job

Do you think it is important to be passionate about your job?

YES!!! But what's a job that I would really like to do??

I want to be a musician. I'm been singing on stages since the age of nine. I cannot see my life without music. I have my grade 7 in Royal Conservatory Piano and my grade 2 with honors in theory. I've played guitar regularly on stage and perform at least once a month at a local coffee shop. I've been paid about 100$ an hour to sing and entertain. Can I see myself doing anything else? Absolutely Not! Only about 41% of Canadians surveys said that there schooling actually benefited them in getting there dream job, so what does that mean? Is it who you know? In any case I will do everything in my power to get to where I want to be and I will push myself until I'm famous ;)

Seal and Crofts

This is a review of the band Seals & Croft
In my personal opinion I think that they were a very good band. they where very popular in the 1970's and where best know for songs such as Summer Breeze and Hummingbird.
the reason the where such an effective band was because of the perfect and intense harmony lines. there voices blended together so perfectly and there songwriting skill was almost unmatched. another positive about this band is that they use different and unique instruments such as the mandolin. Plus there vocals where pleasing to the ear and the mind containing spiritual themes.
